Roll 153 - Bergger Pancro test - roll 1
Following the Ilford lurgy problem affecting 120 Ilford roll films (I have had over 20 defective rolls), I have started looking for possible alternatives. This is my first attempt - The Bergger Pancro 400 developed in Spur Acurol-N. I chose this combination following an excellent review by Analog Insights on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1jWD3Eu720
Camera: Mamiya 645 1000S
Lens: For lens, aperture, shutter speed, etc. see metadata for each photo (info button)
Film: Bergger Pancro 400 @ 400
Developer: Spur Acurol-N 1+35 - 13 minutes
Agitation: First 30 seconds continuously, then 4 inversions every minute
Digitised: Nikon Z6 and Capture One software
Although I was happy with the tonal range (excellent blacks), contrast and sharpness, there is too much grain for my taste. It's a nice sharp salt and pepper type grain, just too much. Onward to test roll 2 https://www.photos.tapasinthesun.com/Galleries/Film/Mamiya-645-1000S/Roll-154/
